Advice on Big Commercial Quotes
« on: September 10, 2012, 09:03:11 pm »
Have had an enquiry today for a large ish (4 mini flats + 10 sperate buildings) commercial job.  I have no idea how to price it up.  Any advice?  Its all WFPolable, and they want a quote for quarterly for 1 year, and for 2 year.

any comments welcome!  thanks

well you might as well forget the 2 yr as they can cancel that at any time

so quote as a one off for first clean  then tell them what the price will be for quarterly clean after

Its up to you Richard. Personally if they are talking of a yearly clean then yes i would be putting a decent price in for the 1st clean because if you offer them a yearly and quarterly price they may well go with the quarterly just to get it cheap then not bother for another year.  If you view it as a one off (yearly is a one off in anyones book!) then price the 1st clean as so then you cant go wrong i.e. £350 1st clean £250 quarterly or whatever.

Thats just what I would do.

Just work out  your day rate and base quote on that.

If it was me I would tell them only do quarterly or 6 monthly and price them accordingly perhaps with a 25% uplift for 6 monthly ??

I have 2 jobs like this, have both of them this week .. one is bi monthly and other 3 monthly but first time both fell into same month ... great not having to move van all day  ;)

So what sort of prices can you get away with for a days work commercial?  Would £500 be around the figure for instance?

im not saying there perfect in any way just simple ways of counting the windows and multiplying by a set time you think each one on average would take then times that by hourly rate

other one is different prices per different window small medium and large depending on number of windows due to be cleaned

im not sayin these are best but i sometimes do both and see which one gives me the most reasonable price i believe is right for the job, taking into consideration other things which may affect your days work
