15Ltr or 21Ltr Pressure washer
« on: August 31, 2012, 04:56:29 pm »
Hi,

I used to clean drives and had the equipment from Jan at tech-clean. I have since sold it but it looks like redundancy is on the cards so I am thinking of starting up again and have seen some Locin machines (13HP 3600PSI) at a good price, but are they any good? plus the one i had before from tech-clean was 15Ltr per min which did a good job is it worth going upto a 21Ltr a min? or whats the difference?

Thnx John

hi john  in my opinion psi rate is not as important as flow rate, providing you have the right nozzles for the machine. the secret to a good wash is in the rinse. the higher flow rate you have the faster you can rinse. regards john

Hi John,

Thnx for that info, i remember washing down after using the FSC used to be a pain, so more flow rate would get it done quicker, I never even thought about that,

15l/min is enough for drive cleaning. only need more if you are washing away stuff like manure in a farmyard. it depends on site conditions re washing down after fsc.

ive only ever had 15lpm and it is enough for most thing but i would like to try 21lpm. if cost is not a option then go for the 21lpm, logic says it going to make lighter work of thinks and get the job done quicker.
quicker job speed = more work being done = more money ;)

Hi
Ive got a loncin 15ltr/3600psi and its fine for drives. If i was going to be doing drives day in day out (its an add on to my window cleaning)I would of gone for a honda at 21ltrs but this serves my purpose of 1 a week on average.

You can fit a .7 on a 21 ltr m/c but you can also use a .45 and turn the revs down to save water. Buy a diesel and save money against petrol. I changed from a 15ltr petrol to a 21ltr diesel last year, it paid for itself in the first season in fuel savings
