It is a difficult one

What is the value of the round ?

i think if you loose any it would be 20% but then again it could be none.

What type of work is it?

Most of the customers would probably say "we will give it a go and see how it is" ,and after they have seen the results they will be more than happy.

If it was me and it fitted nicely on my round i would buy it and take the chance.

hi dave

we have been told the round  is £3700 turn over but are waiting to see the account
he is looking for 4x turnover so it is a large investment for use.

if it is £3700 a month ,then i would pay £7500 and not a penny more.
If it was already being done wfp then i would pay more

The only way to find out if the customers will accept it is to see a sample of the round and have a chat with a sample of customers and guage their reaction,

But wfp is the way forward without any doubt and they would have to accept it in the end anyway.

If it was me i would not even discuss it and just get on with it and if the customers asked ,explain it to them.

Like i said are you prepared to lose 20% if so buy it.
At the end of the day you are getting another £3000 of work which is priceless.

Hi Belinda

Never heard of anybody paying 4 x turnover, the norm with a very good buisness and good accounts would be 3 x.

Saying this I agree with David, twice the turnover is more then acceptable especialy in window cleaning.

Good luck

Hi Bel, spoke to Kev earlier ref another matter!

I agree with everybody else. When I first set up 5ish years ago I looked into buying rounds,  I think people try it on. Personally as its trad go for 2x, I think trying to convert new customers to wfp wont be the problem, (all my customers im letting know gradually im going wfp & they seem happy), it is more their attitudes to new cleaners coming along changing the way it has been done!

 Good Luck anyway, speak soon!

as far as im concerned wfp is the only way forward no regrets there just would like to push the business forward this could be a quick way to do it because  its very cold out there walking the streets the only thing im worried about is that you are just buying a list of cutomers not there loyalty they have the right to use any w/c not just us because we bought there address.

anyway good to here from you must meet for a drink some time (i do mean you and the wife i might even bring kev lol :D

At the end of the day though, it is your decision. Think if it were me though Id get Brad and Kev out walking the streets in the COLD! :D ;D

Still seems alot of dough, mayb for that you could treat yrself to a new car! Only joking!

I know over the past year u 2, sorry Brad 3 have done well, what if u did the same this year? Work just as hard & reap the benefits, not travelling as far as this round is ur after. Glad wfp is working well for you!

If you are in business and serious about it, then you are Professional and Reliable, so the customer does not need to be reassured.

If you are a trad or wfp cleaner, it will not matter as both methods, can clean windows to all concerned.

As for the price the round is for sale at.

Firstly you will have to look at every property you will clean and see how it stands up to your normal pricing policy, some of the houses might be ok but others might be seriously underpriced.

I would offer the seller 50% of the total clean that I get from the customers over a 6 month period.
