The sun and WFP
« on: July 23, 2012, 06:00:47 pm »
We noticed a few extra spots/marks left on the windows today that were in direct view of the sun. We had to squeegee over a few to sort them out.

Any advice for this guys... higher flow? ...rinse more?

I always rinse more in hot weather!! I noticed the same a few years ago but extra rinsing seems to sort it IMO

The extra spotting was probably there before , it's just that the sun shows it up more, sometimes it's down to technique , or lack of flow , where the window dries quicker than normal , I use a high flow all the time , and seldom get spotting, by high flow I mean I work on my own , and use around 500 Ltrs per day.

Exactly if the water is 0 tds how can it leave spots? only one way...you have not rinsed enough!

let this be the end of the hot weather and spotting comments forever more!  ;D

the majority of my round is terraced town house fronts only and in hot weather I try to organise them so I am cleaning them in the shade, make things easy for yourself.

I can't understand why some people have these problems. If the window is clean - why should it matter how quickly it dries?  ???

this is what has happened...... when you are cleaning a window you are disturbing the dirt and then floating it off. a hot window in the direct sunlight drys the dirt before you get a chance to float it of the window, what you have to do on direct sunlight windows in really hot weather is give them a spray first, this will lower the glass temp and enable you to rince as you normally would

When they say rinse more it`s got to do with covering the hole glass by the stream of water side to side and chasing the dirt down to the bottom.
