VIRO SOL what mix ratio?
« on: June 26, 2012, 11:48:20 pm »
Hi Y'all. i just got viro sol delivered and got 1st conny clean to do. wouldnt say it is a mess but quite a bit of green here and there.
I notice from instructions it recommends different mix ratios depending on level of cleaning heavy or light. Just wondered if any one found the average mix for all round cleaning. Hopefully Dazmond will read this. Ta Pauly

Been using virosol for about 3 years now and always stuck to the 24 parts water : 1 part virosol.

Im generous on how much i use as i find the more you use the easier it is. I use anywhere between 5-8L of the mix on an average conny.

Get to the job, spray the first side with virosol mix, go get the rest of your kit & clean So long as not direct sunlight then leave on for 5-10 mins and it will work its magic.... direct sunlight just a couple of mins tops.

hope this helps

p.s. dont forget to take before & after pics ;)

i dont bother measuring it and just put a few glugs in my 5l pressure sprayer mixed with water.i just used pure water from my tank for the conny i cleaned on monday as i had to climb over a flat roof with pole and hose and i couldnt be bothered taking the 5l pressure sprayer over as well!! ;D ;D

plus there was no outside tap.did the job fine although it took a bit longer but im happy with the results.i was cleaning in hot sunshine.
price higher/work harder!

Thanks for replies. I will go with blue frog advice ( no offense dazmond) I have just got a 7 litre fence sprayer from jtf at 9.50 inc vat. and the black pipe just happens to be same bore as pole hose so can connect to by brodex on the harris which is my conny cleaning brush.(not using my new gardiners on connys)  I will use the brush as the sprayer.. to get up tp that curly bit they always seem to put on top of conny roof..also 24 parts to 1 mix works out at 1/2 pint of vs neat to 24 parts = 7 liter so easy to work out. I dont intend cleaning in sun have got job saved for rainy day..so may do today if mrs dont drag me round retail parks. Ta PAuly
