Hi guys do any of you have a program of some sort for your accounts as i still use the books from whsmith is there anything better out there is so could you email me it please

I just use quicken, does the job.

I adapted MS Works to my needs.  It took quite a bit of tweaking though. The only reason I haven't gone for George or something else is that I wouldn't want to feel that my earlier efforts have been wasted.  :)

do you not just log incomings and outgoings and insert them on your tax return...I log income and expenditure on a diary at end of each day, throw receipts in a file and do the return in about an hour.

I give it all to book keeper every 3 months pay him £220 a year.

I'm lazy and reckon it's worth the cost.

Then I just copy all the bottom lines over etc for the tax man.

I've an accountant which costs me 370 a year and I still have to get everything in date order etc. All the hard forms to fill out is his job. I know I really pay to much but I've used him for about 13 years and its hard to change.
