all mine seem to be dead loose, leaking & hose pulling out dead easy. 2 of them are brand new as well, the hose doesn't seem to push in properly its not happened before could it be the heat - i use gardiners old soft hose - if it is what can i do ?                    its too hot to think & i'm covered in midge bites & nettle rash

i was having the same trouble
YOU MIGHT NEED TO PUT AN INSERT IN TO THE HOSE ,i used a gardiners plastic fan jet,i cut off the stem from the fan head and inserted that into the hose and now it seems ok
