£700! wow. I bought my Ninja just before they brought out the 400psi, I was annoyed at first but now I think I was lucky!

Funny I was quoted £230 by them for a new pump.

J&S - think you are confusing the pump head for a complete pump head AND motor - pump heads are around 200 quid, the head and motor will depend on what motor you have

700 quid is well over - try scott and sons in Watford as per the other thread

Anyone know what size motor that pump from accessory planet is?. Looks small in comparison to pump head. machines I have seen are usually much larger. I haven't ever seen inside a 400psi ninja though.

How can they expect these pumps to last when there biggest motivation is will it fit inside the portable,

this photo is of a pump  motor i have just changed after 10year if you want over 400psi and want it too last this is the size you need...... but it won't fit inside a normal portable

Most of the big pump machines have much more beefy motors http://www.wcsuk.com/acatalog/500-PSI-Pumptec-Pump-Complete-PUH4.html This is what's in my airflex and I think it's also in the Jags, not sure if it would fit inside a Ninja mind.

The pump at that link is more in line with the CFR / PowrFlite / Alltec / Hydrovantage etc etc. machines I have seen.

That's what I thought, i'm not familiar with the Ninja, but have experience of airflex and alltec's. If you could get a better motor in there it should be worth consideration, they are really solid & reliable.

It's a Pumptec like the one in the Ninja.
