Was coming up fine with just a lance jet.

Whirlaway and turbo was leaving streaks and stipes everywhere.

Did the whole thing with lance in the end.

Those initial stripes are still there though!

Ventura doesn't always produce the right mix and in your case here those type of flagstones hold a lot of grime and in some cases need neat hypo to tackle heavy stains.
If your buying in 10% is it the one's I've come across in a black drum watered down? We buy it 15%.
Me personally I would have pre sprayed that paving via ventura and if resulting in stripes like you did(and it does happen don't get me wrong, we do weak mixes at time misjudging)then after rinsed off I would mix a couple of litres to 1 litre water and slap on with soft brush

Thats Exactly what i did. That's how I've done it for donkeys.

But, like I said, still can't get rid of those initial whirlaway stripes.

There is only one local supplier I can find local that does 10% bleach, he reckons that is strongest available!
Will try ti find internet supplier, but the I get busted by postage!

got mine from pool cleaning and installation company, 15%. very rarely use it nowadays since installing smaller nozzles in whirlaway.

I think you'll find that these are Limestone and thus very easily marked.

I have cleaned what appear to be identical flags to these. I have now cleaned the same lot twice.

The first time I started with the FSC but noticed lines early on so switched to turbo with much better results.

The second time I cleaned them I left the FSC well alone, but still there were lines, albeit very faint. That was after a water only wash followed by a hypo wash.

When wet the lines are 99.9% invisible. I'm just in the process of deciding with the owner which seal he prefers. I've narrowed this down to a couple and am just waiting on one of two samples to arrive so I can perform a comparison / test.

I'll update with verdict / results, when this bloomin weather sorts itself out.

P.S. There are a couple of products that may help if you can't get these back to good (although I haven't used either they have been recommended and samples are available if you contact direct). One is Tensid Limestone Restorer and the other is Net-trol.
