Our Welcome Message on this board.
« on: January 13, 2006, 07:32:19 pm »
I thought it was about time it was updated as new members won't have a clue who Philip Hanson or Wavie Davie are.

Does anyone think I ought to add anything else?

I don't want it full of "Do's and Don'ts"; just a genuine welcome message.

Has anyone any advice to improve it?

Cheers,

Tosh.

Old moderators never die - they just get sticky keyboards!

Hi Matt

Short version is that I'd been spending too much time on the boards and other stuff was slipping, so I'd asked Mike if I could be relieved/replaced from modding.

Shortly after that my hard drive dissolved and that's when I found out about a wee foxes paw with my backups and I had a whole stack of hard work getting everything caught up with. Trust me, if I hadn't had paperwork to fall back on my business would have been wiped out. I've only recently got back on boards and have been pleasantly surprised by the kind words from folk who haven't "seen" me for a while.

I haven't posted here cos I was a wee bit shy about still having mod against my name when Tosh and Ian now have the reins. I've been lurking for a while, you'll have realised, but couldn't let those young whippersnappers get away with stuff like that!!  :o

Keep me in mind for those heaters, remember!

Hi Wavie,

Welcome back.  I used to enjoy your posts and still use your standing order form I downloaded from the documents to upload section.

I hope you keep posting here.

Sorry, Chris,

It's you lot that make this place what it is, not the mods!

Moderators basically only delete the swearing that the swear filter misses and lock topics when everyone is bitching at each other over what's the best length of squeegie to use and stuff.

Anyway, Ian_Giles has been shining windows since 1943 and should shortly retire and become an 'oxygen theif'.  Me, I'm still wet behind the ears within the window cleaning fraternity.

You don't want to know about us.  Honest.
