I'm down there next week, and I'm booked into the coach house hotel, £170 for 3 nights b&b, only 2 miles from alltec. Apparently its in the middle of nowhere though!

Royston`s a nice wee place. Some good pubs and places to eat.
BnB was decent.

Jester is spot on, train station is just over the road and return fair into royston is only £2.60

Don't miss the last train though as it's a £20 one way trip back to the hotel

Stayed there for just one night a few years back. The en-suite was filthy and stank of drains. No other rooms to switch to so had to put up with it.

Certainly wouldn't recommend,

It's not in the middle of nowhere Ash - it's right on a very busy main road ...................... with nothing else for a mile in any direction !
