Aquadaptor spring
« on: February 10, 2012, 10:49:45 am »
so yesterday my aqua-daptor spring disappeared into another dimension or something  ;D well, i presume it snapped and fell out the mechanism

so im gonna get a "galvanized spring" from there site now. my qeustion is, are they easy to put back in and replace?

do you have to take the thing to bits? cos i can see it being a right pain to fit a new one from looking at it briefly?

any advice welcomed!

tar, george

Hi George,

They are only 99p so why don't you order a couple so you know you always have a spare. You can always guarantee that a part of anything will break on a Friday afternoon and you won't see a new one until the following week as not all suppliers work on a Saturday. The most likely time a spring will break is in the cold - that when they sell the most replacement springs for cars.

I try to carry a couple of replacement parts for everything we use on the van including a spare Shurflo pump and Varistream.

Hi guys,

We cover the springs under the warranty (we'd still like them to last longer, we're working on it)

Paul

Looks like you don't have to buy springs if aquadapter is under 12 months old

Hi John,

Yes, we do send replacements if they break. I've already added a free one to George's order. Many guys like to carry spares so that no time is lost on the job, that's why they're also available to buy from the website.

i have a spare aqua-daptor in my van now so i can just swap them if a spring snaps.to be fair ive only had one spring snap in 10 months.

i hate being without an aqua-daptor on my pole.its just so damn good and saves me water.its esp good in this cold weather as i keep excess water on the ground to a minimum.

i better order some springs and a screw thread adaptor as these tend to break and fall apart after a while.if you start noticing extra play that doesnt rectify itself through tightening the clamp(mark 2)itll be the screw thread adaptor breaking up!! ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!
