How many times do you clean a customers window per year?
« on: December 25, 2005, 05:00:45 pm »
Ive heard many say fortnightly but my friend does 80% of his customers monthly.

How many times do you clean a customers window the majority of the time?

About 8 times a year for me.  That's 6 weekly with it being a bit less frequent in the winter (my choice) and taking the occasional holiday.

Hi,

Some of my domestic customers phone me to make an appointment, some to say they have not seen me for a long while. some six weekly & the rest when it suits me.  All seem happy with these arrangements.

My shop work is done every week with nursing homes monthly & offices when it suits me.

What a good job I have got!

By and large most work on a 4 weekly cycle with domestic work.

Commercial work will vary, shops can be a couple of times a week (Woolies is (or used to be) 3 times a week) the big stuff might only be once or twice a year.

Cycle it on a 4 weekly basis if you can, various customers will want different things, but 4 weekly is a good base to start off with.

I'd say the majority of my work is monthly. Some big commercials tend to go longer but like to have their public areas or entrances done weekly or more.

Most of my work is done monthly. I have switched two estates to bi monthly.
They were badly under priced and the clients excepted a 50% increase in exchange for bi monthly cleans. It suits me as I was struggling to get round on time. I can see a few more going this way next year as the work load is always increasing.
When I do these estates now I'm on a good price. Dai

sorry guys

i cant understand the mentality of cleaning less than 4 weeks.
If you are on a six weekly cycle and you leave it till 8 weeks then you need twice the number of customers.
The easiest way of increasing your turnover is to switch to 4 weekly and dump the ones who do not comply.
It all equals to less customers ,bigger turnover and a chance to weed out a few horrible jobs.

I do it because some years ago, I had a lot of customers who just didn't want a 4 weekly service.  I used to get sent away a lot and didn't have the workload to consider walking away.  Then, in a very short space of time, I got a few large jobs (by my standards) where they wanted 6 weekly.  It made sense to fit my other work around them.  I've just stuck with it.  I wouldn't be able to get around it all in 4 weeks now anyway.  Also, I live in the southeast where the rates are generally the highest in the country.  It could be awkward getting those rates if I worked 4 weekly.
