Is it a joke or am I going to state the obvious ? First there is no return line, secondly he has a 200ltr drum and sticks the suction half way down so you only effectively use 100 ltrs ? Then you have to empty it at the end of the job ! I'll stick to my wheely bin

£65 for a drum? with a couple of fittings? No mate, you dont have to state the obvious..

How do people expect to sell this garbage.... why would you place the outlet there ?
 
I borrowed one from a local supplier... what he doesnt know is I converted it into a large Vacuum  worked ok short term

A filter is fitted to the end of the internal piping

 

Doesn't matter where that fitting goes so long as there's a follow on tube with a strainer dropping down to the bottom.

I bought a drum for £20, grinded out a flap on the top, drilled holes and fit the connectors and float valve. £30 spent.
