BSUH NHS Trust currently contracts their Soft FM services for their
various sites across a range of providers. Some of the services are
currently delivered by in-house teams. The range of Soft FM services
included in this procurement are integral to the high quality, safe and
effective running of the Trust in order to deliver the best clinical
services to patients. This procurement looks to contract the Soft FM
services to one provider who will deliver these services across all the
sites of BSUH NHS Trust.
The key objectives of this procurement are as follows:
— deliver a single, Trust Wide, Soft FM service which is cost effective
and standardises the service delivery methods and the quality,
— to provide high quality Soft FM services for BSUH NHS Trust that meets
all of the most up-to-date NHS Guidance and Legislation,
— to deliver affordable and Value for Money (VfM) Soft FM services.

Description of particular conditions: On award of contract, the potential
provider will be required to actively participate in the achievement of
social and/or environmental policy objectives relating to recruitment,
training and supply chain initiatives. Accordingly, contract performance
conditions will relate in particular to social and environmental
considerations.
It is expected that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of
Employment) Regulation will apply to the award of this contract and that
staff will transfer to the incoming provider. Potential providers are
expected to seek both legal and GAD advice on the application of TUPE in
these circumstances.
