Client had a new floor laid stone tiles problem is grout has turned yellow after they left the underfloor heating on for 2 weeks but not in all areas of the floor. Now I don't know what they sealed it with or what grout they used but could the heating caused this problem or the sealer caused it? Also had tiles in downstairs loo which was not sealed or has any heating and that area is fine.

Would it be worth stripping it or re-grouting?

I would do a test in a small area of the yellow grout with a stripper.  If it didn't work I would clean the whole lot with a high alkaline cleaner and grout color it for them if suitable rather than regrout.

Hello topgun

Be very carefull about cleaning the grout on this floor with stripper
you havent said what type of stone floor this is.
if it has a factory finish on the stone there is a good chance that stripper or strong floor
cleaner wil remove some of the factory finish and leave dull areas around the grout lines
 especialy if you are useing a hand held scrubbing brush.
if doing this use a pointed grout brush less chance of it going on to tiles

if you do end up cleaning the whole floor make sure you know how to refinish the floor before you start

with grout colour seal you will have to remove the sealer for this to work effectively so the colour seal
goes down into the grout and holds in there

It doesn't matter what stone it is!  A stripper such as Aqua Mix Sealing  coating remover or a high alkaline won't damage the floor.

floor strippers and high alkaline cleaners plus scrubbing grout lines will take the factory
finish of stone floors 

i have done more jobs than i care to recall  where the house owner has started to clean the grout lines
on her floor and ended up will dull areas around the grout lines
useing high alkaline floor cleaners.

So are talking about a polished marble or which type of stone in particular?  Because like you we have done a few M2 of Floors and I have never come across this problem

lets stick the floor in question topgun has not said what it is
so that still needs to be established.

Anyway floor stripper and high alkaline cleaners on there own wont do any harm on there own
but when you introduce scrubbing action as said earily in post, this will dull down a polished floor and remove any sealer that is on the top of the floor.thus causeing the floor to look duller
when you scrubb the grout lines with a scrub brush plus stripper and high alkaline cleaners it may well dull them areas around the grout lines  If this happens he needs to re do the whole floor to get the same finish.

if topgun dose not know how to refinish the whole floor he has a problem on his hands

with topguns floor i will hazzard a guess that it is tumnled or antiqued finish and the tiler has applied to much, poor quality sealer and applied it unevenly this may be why the grout lines have turned yellow in certain areas

kevin to answer your question which type of floor can you can have this problem on,, all of them
is the answer just because you use a hand held scrub brush dose not meen you dont have a lot of
down pressure.
