5 month old pure water, is it ok to use?
« on: January 12, 2012, 08:29:39 pm »
Hi just found some barrels in my cellar I forgot about
Filled them up in summer and they've been sat there since
I got a lovely little trolley today ( thank you simon  :))

Just wondering if it's still ok or stick it down the drain???

Many thank Colin

Hi Colin, you don't have to worry about leigonaires disease or the leigonella bacteria as it's only contractable when it's airbourne.

It was a problem a few years ago with the older types of air conditioning units.

Are you happy with the trolley BTW?

Might be right about leigonaires disease and airborn, but also in hot tubs and cooling towers etc, i would not use the 5 month old water, for safety reasons

Rob, sertiously unlikey to be any danger with this for safety reasons, think this way:
Your garden hose, this in winter (unless your wft that most of us are, buggered up my example but will carry on)

people leave a garden hose sat all winter till the warmer weather, you never here of them getting leigonairs, there are factors that make this possible but not in a bottle water sat standing the chances would be slim to none, you have more chance catching it starting up a pressure washer that has not been used for years IMO
If your not willing to learn, No one can help you, If you are determined to learn, No one can stop you ;)
