« on: January 05, 2012, 04:32:32 pm »

HI there everyone I am new to the site and ive just set up my own cleaning business and have just ordered a load of flyers for advertisement. I already have 2 offices and 2 houses a week and I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me as a newbie and good ways to pick up clients and expand ? Or any general advice ?

Many thanks from Fairy Godmother cleaning company x

Hi Natalie,

Do you have an email address I can contact you on?  Like yourself being new to this site I am not sure of what can and can not be posted.

You can post anything you want and just ignor any replies you dislike - it must not be racist or vulgar - well sort of anyway

Hi, 12 yrs later i think important starters are 1) price yourself at what will make money with staff and overheads not what fills your pockets when you're doing the cleans. (more paying less or less paying more ?)

2)Start as you mean to go on all through the books

3) Work hard but take breaks or you'll get sick of it soon

4) Staff can be a big headache if done wrong... pay lawyer for contracts, set clear terms and don't be afraid to fire slackers

Vincent :)
