hi fellow W F P ers,
                               I was wondering do any of you use these special goosenecks for gaining access to bay windows which are set back about three foot if so could you please advise on makes and there success

Hi Kieron welcome to the forum,i use a gooseneck it`s an unger to match my pole,i converted the poles myself for wfp as have a few members on here,i find them very usefull for getting the right angle,most of my jobs i need to adjust it and i can position the brush perfect, i don`t think i could work with out it,Gaz

I have the standard 12" gooseneck fitted to the an ionics commercial and a 18" gooseneck  for the really set back windows works a treat, generally though hardly have to use them as the normal head assemble on the Ionics domestic does most jobs.

On the subject - goosenecks....

A few months back I went to our local suppliers to buy a 12" gooseneck by a well known manufacturer and was horrified at the price, it was about £45. I was expecting to pay a few quid.

It was the same with the over priced pump for our wfp, we could have got the same for £50 less.

Anyway, forty five quid for a 12" bit of bent metal? The words 'rip off' come to mind.

Any ideas about anyone who sells anything the same at something like a reasonable cost.

I've looked every where on the net and cannot find what I want at anything like a fair price.

Try your local B&Q they stock mild steel bars should be easy enough to build a jig to bend it,
been thinking about same myself for a while now

Hi Guys,

we sell a standard goosenck to add on to any fibre glass pole for £19.50, it converts your residential pole into a proper professional pole, it also fits the standard Vikan brush, we find that this easily reaches over most window sills. We also do a long reach pole, but this is only for very deep sills of about three ft or more and would not suggest that this be used on anything but specialist jobs.

OOOOOOOPPPPSSSS !

Not long back i paid £80 for goose neck , mind you that was for fitting it to the 6 section  pole i bought at the same time , the goose neck is mega light weight though !

All in all i paid £295 for 6 section , 10" Vikan , ally goose ,  is that a good price ?

My supplier seems to be cheap as chips for some stuff , but a bit iffy on others !
