i had an 18' pole that did this mainly on the top (thinner) section, in the end it just broke!!...got a replacement, this 1 is a 25 ft, after bout 4 weeks the top section started sticking!!...i religously clean and spray it with polish but still sticks to a point i cant sometimes open it!! im gonna take mine apart the w/end i think and see if i can sort it.

I took mine apart today removed all clamps, collars, plastic spacers , flushed it all out with water , wiped tubing with a cloth & reassembled it all, Also waxed it all with Mirror Glaze no8 (a fiberglass polish we used at lotus) Carnuba wax really among other things,
   &  BINGO slides better now than it did when it was new

Thanks for bothering to reply.  Good morale boost sometimes, this forum, from your fellow workers.
Meanwhile the "can't be bothered, big suppliers" as usual, looking after their own interests.

Hi Chris,
             I had a problem like that, all i did was wash the poles down with a mix of soap and water, try and remove all grit and muck on the poles and rince well, if need be take all apart and wash, this worked for the problem i was having.  Michael

Glad you got it sorted chris, It's amazing the dirt that gets up inside the poles. Although it doesn't always happen some poles never stick others do.
