Vehicle advertising
« on: December 05, 2005, 04:58:48 pm »
Does anyone else get work through advertising on their vehicle ?
I advertise in yellow pages and it does work, but since i had my new van and had it signwritten i get quite a few calls, even when it`s parked outside my house i get calls and i always ask where they got my number from and it looks the part when doing commercial work and you are working by your vehicle, like what happened today a guy pulled up in a new jag and wanted 2 shops doing twice a week outside and once inside,so it works for me,Gaz

It works a treat, the only problem I have is the lad in the other van uses it to get around in and he gets every where people see the van and think we clean in thier area sometimes several miles away.

Another problem that reared its head recently was a fella stopped behind me and started having a go saying that I had cut him up a couple of days earlier,(I give the lad a right good BO!!!ing  when I got home)
The secret is not doing as you like but liking what you do

Yes i have my van signwritten and get some good jobs from it.
And what seems strange is that i always get the one's i quote who got the details from my van.

And before anyone says im to cheap on average i only get half of all jobs i quote.
But always get the jobs from the van

In 21 years of WC We have never had our vehicles signed and we have never advertised anywhere.

We run one of the largest commercial contract businesses in our area and are constantly gaining new lucrative contracts.

Why??

According to all common sense we should be unknown! Even my mates who also WC, advertise on vans and elsewhere cannot understand how we get all of our work.

What seems to work for us is word of mouth from satisfied clients.
