How to get rid of "DIISODECYLPHTHALAT"?
« on: December 03, 2005, 10:51:13 pm »
Hi, let me explain,

Thats what my second hand IBC TANKS had in.

I belive its a softener they put in plastics, viynel gloves, floor tiles, pipes, carpets, packing etc. Very common.

It as an oily residue. Ive used my power jet as best I could. And washed it out a few times with water. But there still seams to be small globules floating around on the water in the tank.

As anyone any suggestions on how to get it completley clean?

I'm sure someone must of bought one secondhand on the forum and cleaned it out. Your replys would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS.NEL.

I mopped mine out and then put 100ltrs of 000ppm water in it and rolled it around the gareden for a while, then emptied the water out through the top. That seemed to do the trick.

Craig are you the Riddler by chance.

Not the foggest mate with regards the tranny van.

But I'm useing the IBC tank as a static in my garage. My van tank is being fitted next week, but I dont want to put contaminated water in it.

So come on Craigey baby spill the beans and let me know.

Dont want to splash more cash on a new one.

Regards Nel.
