Washing powder?
« on: November 30, 2005, 07:01:48 pm »
I was chatting to a new WC`er about 2 months ago and he was a bit fed up. He`s trad. but was having trouble with his squeegee action.
I tried to tell this would improve with practice but he wasn`t convinced.
He was using Fairy but didn`t like it all, so I suggested a WC solution and gave him a few examples- Unger, GG3 etc.

Today, I saw him again and in much better spirits. When I asked which solution had improved his technique and mood, he replied " washing powder and a bit of Fairy".

I`m glad I could help  ::), but he`s thrilled with his new........ concoction.

Anyone else tried it? Or is there anything he need know about his solution?

                  Gerry.

Hed be better off just putting a spon of sainsburys water softner in to get the slide he wants.. The soap powder will leave white marks at the ends of the rubbers which will show up next time round cause they will attract dirt.

Thanks Jeff. I`ll mention it.

I`ve used water softener but got white diagonal marks, like squeegee `kicks`.
But I must have used too much  :-[.
It was more than a spo on  full  :P.
