Looking to build a trailer mount wfp system useing a 400ltr tank. This will only be for commercial buildings and to support our other cleaning services to our own clients, so its not intended for full time use (which may bring about its own problems yet, not sure if ther are any with long layup's).

My question is:
Is 400lts a realistic volume for commercial cleaning of offices etc with multipul windows or am i going to struggle?

I dont know how you can judge likely usage except from people with experiance.

Sorry if the question is a bit naff , I am new to this as you would gather and dont want start by going in the wrong direction.

NO QUUESTION IS DAFT ON HERE:IF YOU TAKE 14 LITRES FOR AN AVERAGE 3 BED HOUSE AFTER 1ST CLEAN UPS ONLY THEN TRY AND WORK IT OUT.
Sorry carnt be more precise but how long is a piece of string?

At least that gives me some idea, I am beginning to understand the issues that will affect usage now such as :

Level of dirt, pump and spray jet size, brush size and of course experience to name a few.

However from your information it does seem that 400lts is definitely a viable amount, and if it doesn’t work out in the long run, I guess it would be a sellable item in favour of a bigger system.

Hi There,

400 litres sounds about the right amount. This is the amount I have built into my trailer. If I am on my own this is more than enough for a whole day of commercial work.

Look at the 'How to get started with a pole system' section on this website www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk.

It talks you through some of the basic questions you will face in setting up a new system.

3yrs ago i bought a 350ltr wtp for commercial work and quite soon i realised i should have bough a 600ltr as on some large jobs we didnt have enough water. I have a 600 ltr now and can use that by dinner time if we are on one job. If i was you i would get a 600ltr at least.

I wished I could, but I cant afford to throw a complete van over to this based on a few monthly contracts. Perhaps when I can market it a bit more in the future Ill be able to invest further. So it a compromise for now

The extra volume has been nagging me a bit, so I have been looking at upgrading the trailer to a 1 ton by adding brakes etc. A bit stiff at £450 but at least I could go with a 600ltr tank and all the kit. Ahhh decisions decisions, lack of experiance can be really painful at times. Never mind at least ill have fun puting it all together, what ever it turns out to be.

I can build you a complete trailer system 650ltr with brakes, baffled tank, 2 pumps with Varistream controllers and 2 poles (18ft) with 110Ah battery, 2 alloy hose reels and 50 m of high pressure hose with 720gpd merlin and di system for £2500 inc VAT.  The trailer has a 1.5ton axle and is fully galvanised, diffent poles and longer hose available if required.

It does make me think though as even without the trailer, I would still have to buy all the rest.

Have just had a customer come back today (who I thought we had lost) asking us to re quote for the underside of their loading bay (very large) thier upper floor windows (30ft) and security camara's ever 1 to 3 months. All this would be ideal for the wfp system (i think) as before we quoted using a cherry picker, so I might have to get me finger out real quick.

How come all the developing companies of wfp are scattered to the 4 corners of the UK. I’m based in West London and beginning to feel isolated (that’s a first in all the years I have lived here)  almost wants to make me move.

I’m jealous really. You guys get to see green stuff and those great big brown and white patchwork sheep and all I see is illiterate scribble and parked cars.
