the best hose connectors I have ever used

From claber, the same make as the new gardiner hose reel.

over the years I have tried as you probably have just about every hose connector there is to connect the hose reel to the van.

They all leak, drip or pop off with the pressure as your walking away.

These are simply the best I have tried, no leaks at all and no poping off. they are tested to much higher pressures than any other and make a noticably tighter fit and click.

I have tested these connectors and they are very well made. However the reason that we are not selling them is that they work best when used exclusively with the same brand of connectors (such as from the reel male to the female adapter).

They are not very compatible with other makes such as brass swivel connectors or partly worn Hozelock connectors. We found that they were less compatible in testing than any other brand of standard hose connector - Hozelock and the ubiquitous Orange/Black connectors were much more tolerant of less than ideal connections.

So if you are converting all of your system to them, they will work well - however this would only be feasible if your are also using a Claber reel.

agreed.

we do have the claber reel from gardiners, they are great, smooth, light and easy to asemble. I also bought all the other claber bits to change the entire system over on the vans.

no problem there at all.
