Local w/c directories
« on: October 26, 2005, 07:30:59 pm »
Have just had a thought - OK I know I dont have many but bear with me.

I advertise in YP as many of us do but because it covers a large area on SE Wales, many of the calls I get are from areas I do not cover.

I am happy to give any callers I get the contact numbers of you guys that do go into their area.

ie.  I do not go into Newport or Pontyool (the closest 2 town/cities to me) although I get calls.

If any w/c on this forum would like me to give their numbers email me and I will build a local area diectory and once finished will email all the people named on it so that they can return the favour if they do not go into a specific area.

As an example :  I would be willing to take call and quote on work from the Cwmbran area only but not Malpas. which is a suburb of Newport but really close to Cwmbran.

If this works and there are clusters of w/c elsewhere in the country then just leave a post here to say you would be willing to co-ordinate it in the first instance.

Sarah

PS  Notice I did not say recommend but would only pass on the numbers.  Because we dont really know each other standards I think that is dangerous to say to a potential customer.

Sarah that is a brilliant idea i do go to langstone for two and a half days a month i used to be from west glamorgan but moved to Lydney 10 yrs ago after meeting my wife. Although i am fully booked i could probably fit in some larger houses the kind you do on saturday morning to bring in a quick trwenty quid  ;) and filter out the not so good we all have those on our books somewhere ::)

Regards

Tom

why not put a locked section on this forum and then have it filled with only window cleaners wishing to carry out sarah's idea, then when say sarah gets a request she could use the forum for a reference or pass over the forums web details so the customer can see whos local.

just a though

Sounds a good idea Stuart.

Ill wait until I get another few w/c which will hopefully get the SE Wales area covered and find out how to do it.

W/c needed for Pontypool, Malpas/Bettws/  Central Newport, Caldicot/Magor/ Chepstow/ Monmouth/ Trevethin/ Rogerstone/ Risca/ any any other areas covered by the Newport and SE Wales Directory.
