Today did a couple of new places - very quirky layouts and being a Saturday (and the only day to do these ones on) there were more cars and activity.
The upshot was me trying to get the van into the right positions.
It needed repositioning twice.
I have been thinking for a while about the possibility of combining the essentials of my van system - battery pump and varistream to use on a trolley.
The idea is to fix the trolley in the van and then disconnect when I need to use it as a trolley system.
Its all about cost and I cant afford to buy these parts over again.
Has anyone done this and have any photos or tips.
One drawback could be the battery being too big

Andrew mccann's trolley says it can do that same thing you suggest with a modification have a look at www.freedomwfp.co.uk and read all the info on the site. i have orderd one of these trolleys myself as they look like they do what it says on the tin

sack truck, use the pump from your van, and just use a small battery for your trolley and leave the van battery in the van

Hi Tomo - I really like Andrew's set up - though can't see how it fits in the way I want from the info shown.
Matt - I used your diy guide as my reference for setting up the van system - I am indebted - I wouldn't mind lugging the main battery on a trolley if that would work
The main thing would be being able to connect and disconect in seconds and without much water spill

The thing I forgot to ask was -  my van tank water has to go through the di - how would I get the trolley containers to fill with di'd water - hope that makes sense - how boring is the x factor

i was thinking of this quote from the site
"Should you decide to move to a van mounted system all you will need to get is the tank. Everything that is needed to work a tank mount is already there on your Freedom Trolley. Just leave it folded down, plug into your tank and you are working. Then, for that “awkward to get to window” just detach and you have your trolley again". but you couuld probably do it cheaper yourself. I could to but liked the pro look of the system as i have told my customers i am investing decent money in this "new way of cleaning windows with wfp.

thanks Tomo - i tried to read it too quickly - the professional look of that system must give it an edge - and that's what I liked about it when Andrew launched it - but I don't want to get into the dark waters of how good things look cos that's for another debate
the help so far from this and...ahem...the other main site has been superb - every obstacle I have come across has been sorted through the forum (fora)

full price everything in is just under a grand £995 that inludes a 100gpd ro/di. i think trolley about £650 ish you will have to call for yourself as i am no authority on their prices

we use a trolley made by aps of leeds i have it on a purpose made trailer ,it can either be left  on or wheeled off
very robust piece of kit well pleased
70 ltr capacity on trolley
350 ltr in 25 ltr containers in trailer

 i purchased the freedom trolley and no regrets very helpful in getting me off ground and yes it is as straight forward as they say to connect to tank in the van, haven't done that myself don't need to yet but something i plan to do  over next 12 months

mine is dual purpose, i mainly use as a van system by connecting a long hose reel to my trolley system that sits upright in the van.

when used as a van mount i run off a leisure battery and attached to the trolly is a power pack.

i only use the trolley if on blocks of flats where my 30 mtr hose can't reach all the way round.

in a nut shell you can do this with no extra cash outlay with the exception of a long hose reel (providing your pump is capable of pushing the water along 30mtrs plus pole length)
