Pressure washing advice
« on: September 17, 2011, 04:33:45 pm »
Hi everyone on this side of the forum  8)

Did a power washing job today for my Mrs Grandad,

what can I expect to charge for cleaning walls and small paths that dont need re-sanding/ sealing!!

Looking to use it from my water fed pole tank (500L)

what power washer can I buy for £200-300 I do not want a all singing all dancing one, just one for domestic and light commercial use? I need a petrol or diesel one

what are the lances like to use?

Will try and think of more questions  :D

Any help, pointers and links would be much appreciated

Cheers
Stuart

Have a look on ebay for a second hand petrol, you should be able to pick a nice honda 5.5 - 8 hp engined one for that price, good for domestic/light commercial, although you may find you need more power for some jobs to get them done quicker which will result in you buying a 10 hp diesel or 13 hp petrol, so maybe if you could bump your budget up to around the £500 mark then you will be able to get a great bargain off ebay

You need water flow and Pressure.
No good buying a 150 BAR machine that only produces 7 litres per min.
You need a minimum of 15 litres per minute flow and 180 - 200 BAR, the higher water flow rate the better you will do!

Hi Alan,

Your advice is always great - we've learned a lot from you - infact so much we are going to take over West Sussex  ;D

We are finally not working today - off to buy some Samsung Galaxy S2s to catch up with the real world at last.
