He'll do them for a short time then find out he's on crap money and won't come back, then they ask you to come back, which you will have the pleasure of saying yes but the price is now £15  :)

like the others said,  there is nothign you can do,  just replace,  have you lost a lot,   there was a thing on the radio today, people are worse off now than they where at the height of the recession in 2009

Hard times mate,

As above nothing you can do but canvass each day you lose 1 canvass 2 that way you will be up and you can look back at this as some sort of a good thing as it made you increase work load.

these sort of things are expected in most areas just double check the going rate for the houses you have lost , but sounds like £4 he will either quit or try and up them ,

what i said to my customers when something like this happened to me was as soon as soon as he ups his prices or leaves please give me a ring if you know at £4 its impossible to make a living then he must be planning to up them if he intends to keep them , and that's when your customers will call you when they realize they are paying him now same when they were quite happy with you from the start, i wouldn't go down the higher price route if they call you back unless the customer has left you before. they normally leave once n next time a dodgy cheap wc turns up for half price they till him where to go.

And the misfortune of them telling him to sling his hook. It's all well and good wanting to do that but there's still plenty of middle of the road cleaners out there that will do the work at the going rate and not rip customers off by trying to impose a 50% price increase. The customers know that too.  That kiddo is biting your nose off to spite your face.

Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month

how long you been window cleaning richard?£10 is quite expensive if its for cleaning a small 3 bed semi in some areas.most customers shouldnt jump ship esp for a ridiculously low price but there is exceptions!!

all our rounds constantly change.customers come and go.dont forget there is always another customer around the corner!

Is this a job or a business, do you want good customers or the ones that drop you as soon as a cheaper person comes along.
My domestic customers know I don't mess them around and expct the same in return.
I could'nt send my workers out knowing Mrs Grumpy at No52 might not want them doing, I have had some say they got no money or away on holiday which I can understand, but if I was dropped for cheaper, the trust has gone.
We are trusted to provide a good regular service and the customer is trusted to pay for it.
Commercial is a whole different ballgame
It takes a few years to get a good solid round.
There is millions and millions of windows out there, go get.
