email addresses and spam
« on: December 16, 2006, 08:27:35 am »
I don’t show my email address on my website, because I don’t want to be bombarded with spam from people trying to sell me things that I don’t need.

So far, in six years, I have received no spam except from one or two anonymous pains in the neck who try to interest me in cheap software or products which promise to enhance my manhood (hardware).

Maybe I am missing out on email enquiries because of my policy. Should I display my email address and risk torrents of spam?

Ive had a few email inquiries as say if someone is at work they can`t always talk on the phone! As for spam i get on average 3 or 4 a day so its not a big problem.

I wouldn't bother with email either. Those that do email never get back.
