pump problems

Ive got two omnitrollys and am having problems with the pumps, they are running really sluggish and the flow of water is not coming out as normal. Could the pumps be damaged over time when the trollys have run empty ?, and where can i get a shurflow pump cheaper than £130 or can i use any other pump ?.
