Did mine two weeks ago. Smell just about gone now.
I couldn't smell anything else for about a day, wherever I went. And I followed all the instructions about ventilation. good stuff though.
Think I might give my winter jacket a coat of it ;D

Hi

I'm about to order protecakote myself. But dont know weather to get it sprayed at my mates bodyshop,or go it alone and save myself £90.00.

What would you recommend having done it?

Would you recomend the kit with rollers or just get the paint?

How long did it take you to do your van? mines a fiat ducato.

thanks nel.

We'll being doing our hearse out in Protekacote (or however it's spelt) as since going over to wfp the floor spends all it's time wet.

Does anyone know if all the surface rust has to be removed first?

Cheers and thanks

We did ours with a cheapo set of brushes too.   Would recommend you remove flaking paint & rust before applying and taking the shine off any other paint to make it a little better for adhesion.
For the record, we're no experts but brother in law is a panel beater/sprayer & he advised the above.

Thanks Lizzy

I think we'll save up the pennies and get someone to do it for us.

I thought it was a 'paint on rust' type paint.

Problem is the vehicle may then be out of service for a day or so.

Or maybe I'll be busy while the other two do the rust and flaking paint removal.

Cheers
