Which driveway sealing sprayer?
« on: July 11, 2011, 07:30:56 pm »
Hi guys, I'm just starting to offer sealing drives along with my cleaning.
Can anybody recommend a good sprayer?
I noticed the Gloria 410t is popular but are cheaper ones any good too (as long as they have Viton seals).
What about using an electric paint sprayer instead?
Thanks, Mike.

Thanks Matt.
The sealers I had in mind were either a polyurethane resin from Drive Revive UK, or the high solids resin sealer by Adseal.

Just make sure those sealers your going to use CAN be sprayed. i was under the impression that high solid/poly sealers had to applied by roller. But ive never used them so im not sure..

I would recommend rollering rather than spraying.

Hi Ian.
Is rollering quicker or just a better result?
Thanks.

Spray block paving, roll tarmac, brush PIC.

Rolling block paving you'll find sand that you've just brushed in lifts out and collects on the roller. Common sense.

Goizper sprayers aren't for sealants. Gloria's are good and worth the money. I use one from Adseal that holds 12 liters (forget the name of it) looks like a red fire extinguisher. Was about 115 after VAT. They do a cheaper one too, all plastic, holds less but you have to keep cleaning the thread otherwise it seals and you'll end up breaking it to open.

it's a chapin sprayer your on about lee, I've got 1. great for block paving, although must say I'm thinking about spraying the 1st coat to hold the sand in, then rolling the 2nd coat in windy conditions, can be a nightmare sometinmes
