Hi
I have had the same problem. I have just started a cleaning business. I charge 2 hr minimum cleaning session £9 per hour. For a spring clean i would charge at least £60. i have just done a 3 bed move out clean which was just cleaning skirting boards, windows, kitchen, toilet, hoover, mop etc no furniture and it took three of us 2 and half hours. we charged £40 and realised this was too cheap. also make sure you ask how many rooms and if there is a conservatory as this also takes time depending upon size.

sorry for going on, its really trial and error, we are still learning

hope all goes well.

£40! christ that's what we charge just for a simple kitchen.

also £9 per hour!

we'd charge £220 for a 3 bedroom house spring clean, perhaps higher as spring cleaning is a pain if cluttered, and when is a house that needs a spring clean not.

hourly rate then after that is up to you. i'd say go no lower then £12 per hour as no point in doing it if it's not going to be for a normal amount. no point doing it on your own and then charging less for it.

One off spring clean = £20 per hour

Followed by £12.50 hour for weekly clean.

the best way to start your business is with research..
im in hertfordshire and im with hector on this one..
with any clean you dont just ask what they have
you go and see what they want you to clean..

yeah we'd get it for our area at least, though tbh spring cleaning is the least liked cleaning service by all the cleaners, eot's are much better. my prices of course could be high for some, low for others but the point was £60 as mentioned by Deana is ridiculously low. doing a proper job there is no way you'd come out with any money

Generally charge for 3 bedroom is between 200-250 depending upon the size of the rooms. Bigger the room more will be the fees.

Agree with Paulo, £20/hr seems reasonable, then 12.50 hourly.
Always imo, important if at all possible, to have a look in advance at 'one offs', which is just as well, this week i went to see a 2 bed apartment, quoted £350, and got it, the place was minging, thank god we didnt try quoting for that over the phone !

hi

This was a empty house as they were moving out. when i researched my area (Cheshire) there spring cleans were between £60 - £120. so i thought as this was empty it would be straight forward.

I am new to this whole cleaning business as we have only just started. As for the £9 per hour domestic cleaning we do, in my areas the prices were between £8-£10.

I have learnt that we are cheap and realized that we need to price bit higher, ensuring there money for the amount of cleaners and profits.

Do you work out your hours by looking how long each room would take?

We have been approached by someone to deep clean their bathroom and clean oven. i believe they are not in a good state. How much would you charge for this then?

I appreciate all your responses so far thanks
