Hi Alan

Sorry you've had this problem with the plastic adapter fitting.  We will get a replacement sent out to you today by Royal Mail.  These adapters are not made by the same company that make the hose reel so we will be looking into this quality issue.

I found with mine that no matter what I did the microbore adapter leaked quite badly. Fixed that by making one. Very pleased with the reel though.

I'm one week into my changeover from PF trolly to van mount, and i'm glad to say I've had no probs whatsoever with the adapter all in all the hose the reel are a really good piece of kit (so far) , I'm just taking my time to get used to a different way of working :)

Other than this, what is the claber hose reel like?  It looks solidly made.

Also, how many metres of microbore can you fit on it?

Hi Ross; i to have pf trolley and am looking to do exactly as you.

Are you still barrels or tank in van?

I will still use barrels for now.

Did you get 6mm or 8mm hose?

Did you get a warning cone?

Good luck; hope it's going well and you notice a speed and earnings improvement ;)

I'm hoping to be 20% quicker/richer :D  a week once in the swing of it.
thanks lee

Hi Lee
After much studying previous threads on here in my swb Connect i plumped for

300litre flat baffled strapped in with two ratchet 5 ton straps to the anchor points

Claber hose reel with 100 m of 6mm microbore

I have my DI cannister with me incase i have to make up water on the job, maybe it's just me being a panic newbie van mount guy (good quality water up here in Edinburgh)

Still using trolly as my power supply/pump etc

And not to forget my shiny new warning cone.

I'm a couple of weeks in and i find that i'm slowly getting to grips with it ie getting quicker and sussing out the best positioning of the van on my run.
Happy days really  :D

thanks ross.

forgot to say did you need any extra's for hose reel, i.e: the optional fittings pack; for the plumbing between pf trolley and reel.

Goodluck with your new setup.
