DoorKnockers anyone used them
« on: June 20, 2011, 12:02:07 pm »
Hi, i am looking for a canvassing company and found a link for them.
has anyone used them, or have any exeperience of them.

and does anyone know an email address for them. they only list a phone number.
i just want some basic details and prices, and would rather have it in writing at the moment.

Ok searched the forum and found an email, there is some good feedback for them.
but has anyone used the recently.

Do it yourself m8 or find someone you can trust on your terms.
1x. A clean.you tell them where to canvass.set Target per week per person.
Upto them how many hours they work that way and you will reap the benefits.
I'm thinking about employing a canvasser on a   self employed basis with a Target of 150 pounds per week.
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

the trust part is a big problem.

i was in contact with a canvassing company, which wanted 30% up front.
then the rest before handing over the info.
but there wasnt much detail about them, no address, numbers, and  they take 2 weeks to reply to emails.

Am not saying all canvassing companys are bad, but be VERY carefull .

I had a company last year work for me who said anything to get the customers details. These included

- try it once to see if you like it
- first clean free
- pay if your happy

Also they took peoples details who only wanted a 1 off clean or to phone me when they wanted their windows cleaned. For this they charged me 2 times the clean and i didnt find out till they had gone.

I even turned up to houses where they never agreed to a window cleaner, yet the guys from thed canvassing company had some how got their details (name, address, phone number) - think they said it was for their records.

My advice for anyone using a canvassing company would be the following ....

When they give you the customers details, ring each one and check they want a regular window cleaner, make sure the frequency is right and the price you have on the sheet matches up with the price the customer has agreed to.
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

Do it yourself, or use a close friend who knows you & the business.

When I canvass it's in the late afternoon / early evening - so it doesn't interfere with work.
Today I finished about 20 minutes ago, it's raining - but at 4.30ish I'll be out knocking doors and leaving leaflets for the outs

USER BEWARE

80% of what I have heard about this company over the past 5 years has been bad

Canvassing its not a easy job...you can go days with out getting much, if any work!

If like me you dont like canvassing! then put a ad in gumtree for a local door to door canvasser!

then just keep a tight rein on them...

Mate, regarding door knockers train your own on a part time basis. A couple of hours a night each between 6 and 8. I have two students work for me covering every night of the week. I give them £5 pound for every job they get me. I ask for a min of 15 jobs a week. I have been doing this for six months and they have built my round.
