just an update i have bumped original thread as i cant be arsed to go over it again but spoke to insurers today and they have advised her that they will NOT be accepting liability for the damage to the roof and are sending her a formal report in writing explaining why :) i will see what happens when i go round next week

the reply will most likely as your roof aint been maintained in the last 10 yrs my client mr thorpe will now pursue a claim againsts ................        ......................... for injurys substained in the fall mr thorpe had while working on your property .
