« on: June 07, 2011, 12:28:42 am »
ive got a lightweight gardiners reel with 100m microbore.is it better to have a fixed one in the back of the van or is it good to be able to take it out and point it in the direction you want it to go? ???

Ive got mine fixed to a piece of board and a bolt coming up through the centre of the board, so it can swivel

Got mine fixed now - rarely have any problems.  I was thinking of adding one of those hozelock roller guides, but I like the sound of the swivel mounted reel h2ose

I tried taking it out all the time, then thought I wud have a go fixed ::) and I must say I much prefer it fixed, you just have to get used to reeling it  in and out certain ways for certain situations. My next project is to make it swivel like H2ose ;) and I think that will make things even smoother ;D

Take it out  and lock the van.

Wasn't there a spate of thefts of window cleaner vans and their tools recently?
