On their website it says "supporting your local window cleaner."
What a load of rubbish! All they do is get 3 local quotes pick the cheapest and wack on their percentage and line their pockets!
In my view this isn't supporting anyone but themselves.
Cheap prices doesn't equal quality work

Rant over!!

How I've read it is that they've got 3 local guys to price for a local job and picked the cheapest local guy to do the local job and then put their mark up on the job.

Is there really a problem with that? If the guy who's cheaper than the other 2 does an absolutley crap job and there is complaint after complaint then his cheapness will show. It is also possible that the other 2 guys have priced too high and the guy who's got it has priced competitively.

This type of quoting is common practice on smaller jobs and it how the cookie crumbles.

The key is to be competitive and make it pay and then you are onto a winner.

Dean.

Do you have to pay ladders free to register with them?  How does it all work?

I think its about £100 a year Tosh, give or take a few quid to join up. Then if they get asked to quote for work as I understand they send in upto 3 guys registered with them, put in the highest price to whoever they are quoting and if they get the work they give it to the guy who quoted the least, the money they get is your joining fee plus whatever the difference between the highest and lowest quotes. I have no idea really if this is how they really work but I remember it being asked on here before and thats pretty much how most people said they operate.

i have seen the thing about the registration fee although if i remember right they wavered it for us. don't know if they,ll sting me in year two.
if they do do we,ll just look see if the jobs still worth doing and the possibility of more work.
