Electro magnetic switch and valve

needed for feed from header tank on TM. Its attached to a quick connect.

Is this a univeral fitting or are they all different? Its for a steamway 6100

Anyone know?

 so you need a "Electro magnetic switch and valve"  to do that.... that's one over-engineered machine you've got their ;D ;D

whats wrong with it?

but to be honest I think this is too specialised a question to get an answer are you a member of the USA truckmount forum some one there will know

Sounds like a solenoid valve to control direct feed. HM do them but if you don't use direct feed i would just take it out of the system.

I may be way off the mark though

If you have it removed, take to your nearest Maplin store, if not in stock, can probably order one in.

Hi Pete,

             You'll get one from pnuematic solutions international,they are based in hampshire. I've bought solonoid valves from them in the past. I've always found what I wanted from them, it's easier if you have a part number on the switch though.is it a mac valve? They have a website and you can order a catologue from them to check which part you need.

Thanks guys. /the valve itself is leaking and I losing pressure. Guess air is getting in. The point of the part is to kick in when machine is off to halt flow caused by gravity. Know what you mean about over engineering Mike and that was exactly JK's thoughts. Its due a bit of an overhaul and I may just remove it completely but for now I'll settle for part while I am busy and not wanting to be off the road.
