Would it be ok to do this?

I want to bolt my pump in my older van but still have the wfp system in it! Does anyone else do this?

hi leigh    when i first set up i installed a 500ltr upright tank   i have never had the need to use it       
i now use it as a shelf   i have even thought of cutting a whole in it to use as a cupboard
my pressure washer has four wheels  my water bowser is a 400ltr wheelie bin with fittings for ins&outs water  i can take my kit to the work    instead of having loads of ins&outs pipes every where
as my pressure waser consumes water at 30ltrs a min i need constant top up   if i had to rely on my own tanked water i would allways be haveing to stop and go to fill up

Yeah I would fill it up at the job. But obviously I wouldn't be using pure water and wondered if that'd matter when I come to fill it with pure water? I am at present using a water butt but would like to work out of the van.

hi liegh   not knowing about pure water      i would have thought providing you empty the tap water  then maybee rinse out tank with pure water i would think you would be redy to go wfp again tds test it to check

I had a custom plastic tank made for my jetter and had fittings put in so it obviously runs the jetter, runs a pressure washer and I also use it to clean windows from. I also pump pure water into the tank when I'm in a hurry and can't wait to fill the tank from the hose. The pure water cleans the sight tube as a bonus

you could always put a oil filled radiator in the night you have pressure washed and dry all the left over water so it evaporates obvioudly after draining the bulk of it, or maybe have a di filter after pump to pole to clean off any dirty water
