Low moisture/bonnet/rotary - advice please.
« on: February 14, 2011, 10:54:34 am »
I don't own a rotary at the mo (i'm keeping my eye out on Ebay for a bargain  ::) ) so i just rent one from a local cleaning supplier when i need one.The machine is cheap enough, but bonnet mops they sell are at unreal prices so i bought these off Ebay........      http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250768029146&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

The thing is when i received them they have a hole in the middle which is not noticable on the photo on Ebay. The normal bonnets all seem not to have any holes in,can i use these new low moisture pads with the hole in on the same drive board as for normal bonnets or do they fit on in a different way.Have i wasted my money. :(

If these are 17" pads with a 16" hole in the middle then you can worry.
If you talking about something say 2 or 3 inch, no bother - its the greater pad area that will collect the soiling.

no problem with the hole in the middle at all.

Just use as an ordinary bonnett. you may also be able to use them for agitation at the same time dependant on the thickness and strength of the blue bits.

As Joe said the soiling will collect on the bulk of the pad.

Dave,

I saw those on ebay, are they any good, as they imply that they are only for texatherm etc etc.
