you need to have some idea how long it will take and price accordingly,

your average square 6 x 12 roof should take no more than 1/2 hr  but take into account access and the
pitch of the roof - i find the virtually flat roofs take a little longer as you cant get a good run of water on them.

You will find that the gutters are full of leaves moss ect the customer will expect you to clean them out, take this into account when pricing as it can take as long as cleaning the roof. I no longer do con roof cleaning as w/c makes more money, price the job between £20 - £25 per hour depends what part of the country you live

There's no 'going rate' with us window cleaners, so just price it fairly and try to get as much money as you would cleaning windows in that space of time, I normally charge £20 a strip of gutters, depending on size, but if they want it cleaned outside as well (not just gettingeaves out) then I'll say £30 a strip so that's 60 odd quid for front and back of an average house, conservatory roofs are normally 30 quid depending on size! Just go for a fair price that meets your needs, and doesn't make you feel like it was a waste of time, good luck, jake

I charge £5 per roof panel with a minimum charge of £40. The gutters are included in this. There is often a smaller panel on corners and i charge these at £5 for 2 of them, as they are normally about half the size of the full roof panels.
If access is crap and if the roof is one of those with a pitch back to the house wall I add extra for this as its hard going.
I do not really enjoy doing them, So makes no odds to me whether they accept or not. I quoted one when i was having an off day, It was pretty straight forward and would normally charge £50, quoted £70 and could not believe it when they accepted  ;)

alway price higher than your hourly rate for window cleaning as its specialist cleaning and a pain in the bum and harder work than just maintenance window cleaning.

an average polycarbon conny roof thats gone a bit green say and they want all roof and outside gutters cleaned(i dont do gutter clearing anymore)would take you about an hour and a half from pulling up to driving away esp if its awkward access with ladders needed as well.

if your hourly rate for window cleaning is say £25 an hour then you want at least £30-£35 an hour for conservatory roof or fascia cleaning IMO.so say £50 -£60 depending on how bad it is.

if its a regular clean say every other month when you do the windows and easy access then i do some for an extra £15 and takes me an extra 20 mins with just pure and no ladders needed.

some lads on here charge over £100 just for conny roof cleaning but include all windows and frames and are usually "one offs" as a result of big leaflet drops.

most of my roof cleaning comes from regular window cleaning customers so the windows are cleaned during the normal window clean.

add ons like conny roof/ fascia cleaning can be good money but dont just clean for the same price as window

cleaning or you ll hate doing them as its harder work!! ;) ;D ;D

the virtually flat roof panels are a pain especially if their high and you need to stand half way up the ladder with pole in hand!!the water doesnt run off easily and its hard to get a good finish esp if its a glass roof!!

the glass roof type virtually flat panels i now turn down as they take ages to clean and are guaranteed to get your blood boiling and pressure up plus their hard work and you gotta watch you dont strain yourself!!! ;D ;D ;D
