NEEDED A BREAK fr WINDOW CLEANING!
« on: February 08, 2011, 04:29:03 pm »
caught up with work last thursday so i decided to have a long weekend and start back monday!had yesterday off with the strong wind.overslept this morning and really couldnt motivate myself to get out of the door and its a beautiful day weather wise!! ::) ;D ;D

oh well im fully recharged for the next months onslaught!i love my job most of the time but i do on the odd occasion suffer from motivational issues esp when bills are paid, money in the bank etc.

thank God im not working full time for anyone else as i dont think i could stick it!! ;D ;D ;D

any of you guys suffer from low motivation on the odd occasion?after 17 years window cleaning i suppose its to be expected!

ive not been bored though over the last 5 days.ive caught up with some paperwork, payed a few bills, ordered a few bits and bobs.had some old friends round for coffee.cooked a meal for my girlfriend and watched a few films and starting reading a book ive been meaning to read for a while.ive been swimming a few times as well.

I do the very same as you Daz. Sometime I have almost a whole week off every now and again and it's just great. What is the point in working for yourself if you never do these things?

Caught up quite alot by last monday and so had a few days off last week

like ronnie says , why not

Its if you have time offwhen your skint and behind its a problem

I find its always the thought of work thats much harder than it actually is, i very rarely do a days work i dont enjoy, its just that dread as im driving there or on sunday evening thinking about a busy week

But you did miss a beautiful day daz :)

Had our work done by 1.20 pm today so went leafletting for a bit , of to gym now

You will have enough time off when you are dead.

CLEAN CLEAN and CLEAN :D

I'm working the next 24 days on the bounce because I love it.

And then the Caravan season starts and its time to chill :)

We caught up with all our backlog from before Christmas by last Wednesday, that was basically by working Saturdays as well.

So on Thursday I had a team out leafleting, another doing 20 outside washes of caravans ready for the new season and our third team was on a flood job generally tidying up and filling a skip with plaster that we were taking off the walls ready for reinstallation work.

Friday we did our weekly commercial window cleans in the morning then went for a couple of jars in the afternoon.

Then everyone was miffed cos there was no Saturday overtime!!

Everything was back to normal yesterday.........p!ssed down all day!!

Get yourself off on holiday.

One thing I have done nearly all of my hard working life is to go on holiday as much as I can.

I can recommend this place http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/p476605  ::)

I always end up doing really well when I return from a good break away from it all

 Hi Dasmond
I think the whole human race feels like that sometimes. An employed person takes a sickie or time off.

At least you are doing it on your own dime not on an employers. Also if you have got your prices right your probably bringing in more in four days than the average joe does in 5.

 cheers

i do ok clarkson!bills are always paid, money in the bank and food in the cupboard!i tend to go through phases where i "binge" on work and work 6 days a week and really get on a roll workwise.then when all my work is completed i tend to have a few days off especially if the weather is miserable like today!!

sometimes the longer i put it off the harder it is to get back into it!! ::) ::)

i was thinking of just getting an afternoon in today but its raining again now heavy!! ::)

its better if i just write the day off and enjoy having some time off and try again tommorrow!!ive reprinted some invoices twice since sunday!!3 times if i have today off!!

Dazmond, mate i feel  like that everyday at the moment as im stuck in a factory with no windows, strip lights as my only light.no fresh air :'( and to top it all we have just started a stock take which apparently is going to take us around five days to complete.and thats counting hidious amounts of glassware. Im so looking forward to getting out there like you guys as you all seem to be happy with your jobs.(most of the time).cheers ian ;)
