40 inchers
« on: January 28, 2011, 08:34:57 pm »
does anyone know what the difference (if there is any) between branded and unbrabded 40 inchers,

example , cleaningspot sell a filmtec hf4 that they say is better under lower water pressure than their unbranded hfs - it is also more expensive.

gapswater say that the best membrane for low water pressure is an hf5 - theirs is branded (though not sure which brand) and is better / produces more water at a lower pressure than an hf4.

im confused  ???

can anyone shed any light on this matter?

Isn't it something to do with the relationship between quantity and quality?

Not sure exactly but I'd go with Gaps Water personally.

I have a filmtec 4040 and I'm happy with it, it bring my tap tds from 375 to 10 which seems pretty good to me, unfortunately I have had nothing else to compare it to so I don't know what the hf5 is like

I`ve got  a hf5 ultratec membrane, housing and membrane from ionics at £300 plus vat(think this is cheapest anywhere),its producing 006-8 from appx 300 in at 42-46 psi and i am delighted with this and very glad i spent the extra on a 4040 set up as the productiom time is good or certainly seems to be and no messing with pumps.
