I took it as a message.As  in tonight you will sleep with the fishs.The person it's aimed at-and they will know who they are- can either put up or shut up.Presumably there has been a disagreement, and this has resulted in some kind of sneaky threat.

But Dave didn't get to where he is today with out being sneakier than your average sneak.The clear implication is he can hurt them more than they can hurt him.They want to sneak, he can sneak louder, longer, and in sneaky ways they can only begin to imagine.

Dave if you have a problem, would you not think its best to take it up directly with that person?

Asking an open ended question like that - leaves all open to interpretation

It was more a lot more subtle than that, if you`re thinking what I think you`re thinking.
It was a fish wrapped in the bulletproof vest of Luca Brasi. An old Sicilian message, saying that Brasi was sleeping at the bottom of the ocean.
Words wouldn`t have been needed.

I just want to know what a tentor hook is ;D

I did see a post here yesterday that it could refer to but to much lager and work has passed since then, and I can't see it any more.

cum on. i is just a windie not no uni genius ;D

(By the mid-eighteenth century the phrase "on tenterhooks" came into use to mean being in a state of uneasiness, anxiety, or suspense, stretched like the cloth on the tenter.)
