aquadapter and hot water
« on: January 19, 2011, 02:10:39 pm »
just read this on the aquadapter website about using hot water with one.

It is our intention to make future versions of the Aqua-dapter suitable for use with Water Fed Pole systems using hot water.

However, the Aqua-dapter was originally designed for use with cold water and although it can be used with hot water if the temperature isn't too high, we only recommend using the current version with cold water.

We have had reports of people successfully using the Aqua-dapter device and hose with hot water.  There is some softening of the hose, which is to be expected.  This also means that the hose will stretch more, making the pull action slightly longer when operating the Aqua-dapter.  Please avoid pulling too hard on the hose if using with hot water.

so does anyone use aquadapter on here with hot water?
also i have a slx30 if i get one will i need the screw thread adapter as well?

No I don't, bit ithoight the mk2 was uprated, it has a metal tube instead of a plastic one, they do a 30 day trial, so you could get one and try it, if it's no good send it back, I don't really know why they wouldn't be any good with hot water unless it was really hot

Hi Mark,

the Mk2 is fine with hot water.  The website just needs updating, which is going to happen in the next couple of days.
