Do I Need A Gooseneck ?
« on: January 18, 2011, 09:16:09 pm »
I use a clx 27 on domestics, often enough at nearly full reach and have the standard plastic angle crank adaptor.
People seem keen on goosenecks so am i missing something?

Having never held a pole with a gooseneck fitted i am totally in the dark about any advantage to be gained so will be glad of any info.

You only need one if your angle adaptor is too short for the brush to touch the glass i.e. high up deep set windows etc.

You can however just screw another angle adaptor into your existing one for the odd job if this occurs.

On flats with window boxes I wouldn't be without one; they are useful more often than you'd think!!!

Had 2 customers tell me about them having window boxes in the summer, looks like more expense ,though having said that they cant realistically expect me to get all of the window then and if i stay without a gooseneck i feel the pole wont be as cumbersome as with one.

I use 2 and even 3 angle adaptors on my pole and am able to get the brush in most places and it cost me a lot less than a goose neck.

Life is easier with a goose neck, to get over sills. Plus if you have a goose neck on your pole theres less chance of water dripping down the pole.
