My trusty 15 year-old Corsa diesel needs replacing immediately due to mechanical problems so I think I'll replace it with a van.
Having read the many posts on vans it seems the Toyota Hiace is the best all-rounder especially on reliability. The only problem is that here in Ireland if a van is also being used for private use - which mine will - the engine size roadtax regime will apply. Does the Hiace only come in a 2.5 litre version? If so it will cost €935 per year to tax!
Is there an equally reliable smaller engine alternative to the Toyota?
For a WFP and gutter vac system what size van would I need? If the Toyota is the best option should I go for a SWB or LWB?
