would this work?
« on: December 13, 2010, 06:25:15 pm »
My water has to go RO then di as tds is massive so cannot put hot water through di only. Wondered whether this travel heating element would heat a 25 litre barrel on the move as I've no other way, as yet, of using hot to clean.

worth a try I suppose for less than £8.

Cheap enough, but you'd have to leave it in the water for a long time to heat any great amount of water! :)

i tryied this before mate, it does work but obviously not boiling but it will be warm, it took mine about 1 hour to heat a 250 di machine just enough.

its cold by the time it gets through the hose though  ??? ???
better than all the rest

Thanks iwitot and leights for replies. I'm grasping at straws a bit. Van mounted hot system whether diy or manufactured seems the only sensible way forward with winters getting how they are, even if only for a week or two (although first cleans, what ever time of year, must be easier with hot?) Until then pray for short cold and long mild spells.
